Teased in an advertisement in various Marvel UK comics for what seemed like forever, The Sleeze Brothers were part of the Epic Comics imprint of creator-owned characters. Devised as a six-issue mini-series, El’ Ape and Deadwood made a strong and lasting impact on anyone who read their misadventures despite only having a limited run. They may have been created by some of the amazing talent behind childhood favourite The Real Ghostbusters but it’s only now, decades later, I’m finally reading more than just the first issue in this sure-to-be-anarchic real time read through.
